Effective date: October 1, 2026. This policy explains what personal information LicensePass LLC ("LicensePass," "we," "us") collects through LicensePass.com and its apps (the "Service"), how we use it, and your choices.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, or the login credentials for your exam vendor account.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each email. We will still send account and billing messages.
When you use the AI tutor, your message and relevant context (such as the question you are working on and your recent performance on that topic) are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate a response. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic processes this content to provide the service to us and does not use it to train its models. We store your AI tutor conversations with your account so you can review them and so we can improve answer quality. AI responses are generated automatically and are not used to make legal or similarly significant decisions about you.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some state laws treat this advertising measurement as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising, or as a "sale"; you can opt out as described in Section 5. We never send Meta your answers, scores, study activity, notes, or AI tutor conversations. We do not share your individual scores with exam vendors, licensing authorities, employers, or brokerages.

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and local browser storage to keep you signed in, secure your session, and remember settings. Our video player and bot-protection providers may use their own cookies or similar identifiers to deliver video and detect automated traffic. Advertising pixel. On our public pages (the marketing site, exam guides, and the sign-up and sign-in pages) we may load the Meta Pixel. When it loads, Meta receives your IP address, browser and device details, the address of the page you viewed, and Meta's own cookie identifiers, and may connect that with your Facebook or Instagram account and with your activity on other sites. The pixel does not load inside the study app.
Where you came from. When you first visit, we set a first-party cookie (lp_attr, 90 days) that records the page you landed on, the website that referred you (its domain only), any campaign tags in the link you clicked (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term), and whether the link carried a Facebook or Google ad-click identifier (yes or no — we do not store the identifier itself). If you later create an account or join our email list, we save that information with your account or sign-up so we know which campaigns bring people to LicensePass. It is used only by us, is never sold or shared, and is not affected by the advertising opt-out or GPC below because nothing in it is sent to an advertising platform.
Conversion events. When you join our email list, create an account, or make a purchase, our servers may also report that event to Meta. The report includes the type of event, for a purchase the plan and amount, a hashed (one-way scrambled) version of your email address and of your account ID, your IP address, browser details, the page you were on, and Meta's cookie identifiers if your browser has them. Meta uses the hashed email to match the event to a Facebook or Instagram account. We never include your answers, scores, study activity, notes, or AI tutor conversations.
Analytics. We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics, which we use to understand how the Service is used. It sets cookies and receives the pages you view, your device and browser type, and your approximate location. We have turned off Google's advertising features and do not use it for advertising. It runs on our public pages and in the study app. When you join our email list, create an account, start checkout, or make a purchase, our servers also report that event to Google Analytics. The report contains the event name, Google's own browser identifier from its cookie, and for checkout and purchase the plan and amount. It contains no email address or account ID.
Opting out. Use the "Analytics and advertising tracking in this browser" control at the bottom of this page. Once you opt out, the pixel and Google Analytics do not load in that browser, and we do not send Meta conversion events for anything you do from it. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out of both: if your browser sends one, the pixel and Google Analytics do not load and no conversion events are sent. Because there is no common standard for other "Do Not Track" browser signals, we do not otherwise respond to them.
We keep personal information while your account is active and as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except records we must keep for those purposes.
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, database access controls, and restricted internal access. No system is completely secure. If we learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

Email hello@licensepass.com from your account email. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
The Service is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or in the Service before it takes effect, and update the effective date above.
